With AMC’s top shows Breaking Bad and Mad Men ending in the next 2 years, they need to start planning to fill the void left behind. One of these possible shows is a 50s/60s set show dealing with the famous and top secret Area 51 base in Nevada which should have a lot of cool topics to cover such as the security of the base and alien conspiracies like the Roswell crash. It is based off a book called Area 51 by Anne Jacobsen and the show will be produced by Gale Anne Hurd who is currently a producer on The Walking Dead.
This could be cool! I’ve enjoyed all of AMC’s shows so far (Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Mad Men, Hell on Wheels, Rubicon and so on) so I’m sure this will be great too! There isn’t much information yet as it was just announced a few days ago but I’ll post when there is.
